I'm complaining AGAIN!
Huhu my last post was last year. I think it's not too late to say Happy New Year!I got the feeling 2010 will be a very challenging year for me but I'm confident all of it will be worth while thinking the things waiting for me on 2011 :P Oh and hoping something exciting to happen end of this year. Hehe InsyaAllah. We can plan but of course everything will be decided by Allah the only God.
Last 2 days, on Wednesday, 3rd February 2010 to be exact was the day for us student sponsored by Petronas to take the ability test. In order to qualified for the interview we need to pass this test. I thought the test would be those thinking skills test. You know where some of it test your IQ and perhaps you have those situation given then you need to choose which are the suitable action to be taken. But NO!they give you passages then a statement, and you need to choose whether the statement is TRUE, FALSE or CANNOT SAY based on the passage given. I was thinking to myself, if someone can't answer this test does that mean they cannot be a good engineer??Ya I know it test the ability of you understanding things correctly but do you really need to give us a difficult passages as if we are here to apply for an English teacher's position? Rasanya la kan, even English teachers are not tested as difficult as this. But luckily I think UTP students are excellent, I bet most of us did very well. I think the problem just not having enough time.
And the second part of the test was mathematics!It was not hard but the fact that we need to catch up to the time was stressful. I failed to answer the last 3 questions. Hehe.
And didn't expect the numbers would be Millions!And again I was thinking, x cukop ke the tests and the exams we have taken throughout the 4 or 5 years here??choose one.. you want to consider our CGPA or the ability test result??
Furthermore, this time all students are allowed to try out for the ability test unlike before only those with CGPA above 3.00 are allowed. I don't mind bout this but I think it would be unfair if later when the result of the test are out, some of the people with CGPA lower than 3.00 get through but those who are above 3.00 didn't. Is the result of a 2 hour test more important and counted than the 5 years tests and exams?
Hurm I don't know. I'm not saying this ability test is not necesary. Just that why do you need to just cut out the names who did not pass?Just take the result for reference. Well people if we get employed by Petronas, can you please recommend me to be head of HR?haha I will make your children's life easy!!!and plus you can marry each other!Boo the policy of spouse can't work together. We are adults!If we think we can't work together we tell you!!Hehe that's all for now. Bye!~

Two More To Go!
What a day. Had 2 papers today. Malaysian Studies in the morning and Modern Control Engineering started at noon. Just finished. MS was ok. I did tembak few but considering I did not study for MS, i guess i did pretty well.
And MCE!managed to answer all. BUT!somehow felt like my answers are not right. The working steps are ok but the values... Hurm ntahla. 3 hours definitely wasn't enough. It was cold and i was shaking (as usual). But usually i have time to got to the loo but tadi was hell. 3 hours rasa sekejap sgt. Sambil buat sambil tahan kencing. Isk! Nvm, still i think I did a good job. Congrats Hayfa! :P
And tomorrow morning..Multimedia Network!They really won't let us catch a breath. Who susun the timetable eh?Lu susun x buat course analysis dulu ka? (if there is job analysis why can't there be course analysis??To those who forget. HRM!)

Killing Me Softly
Went to send my FYP interim report. And my sv asked me to add some more. And told Kak Hawa (supposed to submit to her for format checking) about it, and she said can submit Monday before 10am. My war isnt over yet :(
But the good thing is i can improve my report. Haih stress2. Br nk happy2 celebr8 ade org tu punya birthday this Saturday (his b'day is on 03/11/09). Since 3rd is a weekday so celebr8 jela this Saturday. Nvm i know i can forget all my work when im with u :)
Hurm and i really havent thought of his birthday present. Kami x main da surprise2 ni. We are too old for that. Ceh!I asked him what he wants, and he kept telling me later la~
Aiyo later i will be broke la. Scholar and personal allowances just came in. Better buy now. Huhu. Currently surfing the net of things that u can buy for your man. I'll do a review on that in a while!

Final Year Project (FYP)
Im suppose to do my FYP1 final report but im f lazy. My final year will be at least near to heaven without FYP. With FYP im in hell.

Something more mature :P
My earlier posts are quite..i cant really describe them but for sure its not that mature. Perhaps i should write something more serious?lets start with UTP!
UTP is having an election in few days to choose student's representative. Last year this one guy won but i think he didn't get the president seat because what i heard, at last it is the management decision to elect the president. So why vote?haha. I read one of the candidates blog. He wrote on his manifesto. What he will do if he is been elected as the president. As usual, internet, exam, schedule, and so on.
But if you were to ask me. What if i were the president?Ehem ehem..
I would ask UTP to revise back the syllabus or the structure of the curriculum. One of my classmates has been nagging bout this since our final year. And i admit, our structure is ridiculous. Im not sure who decide about it but im pretty sure something can be done to correct it.
Lets take Electrical&Electronics course for example since im taking this course. And let me be the example :P
I want to major in instrument and control. But i can only do this during my final year. From my 1st year until my 3rd year, i have to take few (most?) unrelated subjects to my majoring. Such as signal&processing, digital system processing, communication system, analogue, power electronics. And most of these subjects carry high credit hours!
Why dont they allow us to major earlier?then we can focus on the subjects that are related to what we want to do in the future. Split plant process to 2 semesters. Teach us on how to use MATLAB for 1 semester for heaven sake!Teach us how to drag all those block diagrams, how to insert the functions.
Then the management may say, then you cant be a well rounded EE engineer because you wont know other specialization. Then perhaps instead of cutting off those subject, lower the credit hours?hehe..or cut off the mathematics side (how to derive equations etc), and teach us the concept. Like harmonics!kinda important term. But what we learned, is how to calculate?why dont teach us on what it is actually and how do they occur in motors. Basic understanding is very important.
Well, if you know any of the candidates, do show this post to him/her. If only you agree with me. Hurm i want a change but im too lazy to take action. My bad. This change may be too late for our batch but it will help our new intakes. Ok I have to study for Multimedia Network test. (another subject that should be about understanding the basic concept. Leave the complicated part to communication guys pls!) Later.
p/s: how bout other courses?i bet chemical ppl will say they dont need fydp..haha
